Free Inspection Terms & Conditions
1. Our Approach
At Sports Care Pro Limited (“Sports Care Pro”, “we”, “our”), we believe equipment safety is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time check.
Our First Inspection Free offer is designed to help qualifying organisations understand the condition of their equipment and begin a long-term maintenance partnership.
2. Commercial Facilities Only
This offer is available to commercial organisations operating in trade, including:

Commercial gyms and fitness centres

Schools and tertiary institutions
-
Sports clubs and recreation centres
-
Corporate and workplace fitness facilities
-
Community sports facilities
The offer does not apply to residential properties or private home gyms.
Where services are acquired for business purposes, the parties agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 shall not apply to the extent permitted by section 43 of the Act.
3. Ongoing Maintenance Intent
This inspection is intended for organisations seeking ongoing servicing, compliance support, or preventative maintenance.
It is not designed for one-off minor repair requests or single-item call-outs.
Sports Care Pro reserves the right to confirm suitability before booking.
4. Minimum Facility Requirements
To ensure meaningful value for both parties, facilities must contain:

A minimum of 10 pieces of fixed or portable fitness equipment, OR
-
A gymnasium, training area, or sports court comprising multiple installed items.
Single-item inspections (e.g., one basketball hoop) do not qualify.

5. Scope of the Free Inspection
The Free Inspection includes:

Visual safety assessment
-
Basic operational checks
-
Identification of visible wear, damage, or risk
-
A written summary with practical recommendations
It does not include:
-
Engineering or structural certification
-
Electrical testing or tagging
-
Load testing
-
Disassembly
-
Repairs, parts, or labour
Any recommended works will be quoted separately.

6. Time & Equipment Limits
The inspection covers:

Up to two (2) technician hours on site, OR
-
Up to twenty (20) equipment items,
whichever occurs first.
Additional items can be assessed at standard service rates if requested.

7. Service Area
Offer valid within the Auckland metropolitan service area. Travel outside this area may incur charges.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:

Provide safe and clear access to equipment

Ensure equipment is available during inspection

Comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 site requirements
9. Limitations
The inspection is a general visual assessment and does not guarantee compliance certification or future performance.
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:
-
Liability is limited to the value of services supplied (being $0 under this offer).
-
We are not responsible for latent or hidden defects not reasonably identifiable during inspection.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Acceptance
By booking the Free Inspection, the organisation confirms it is acquiring services in trade and agrees to these Terms.
